The city of Goodyear is celebrating a major milestone as its Fleet Division is ranked among the Top 10 Government Fleets in the nation, one of the highest honors in public fleet management. Out of approximately 38,000 government fleets across the country, this distinction highlights organizations that demonstrate exceptional leadership, operational excellence, innovation and a forward thinking approach to supporting their communities.

This marks the sixth consecutive year Goodyear’s Fleet Division has earned national recognition from the Leading Fleet Awards program, administered by the American Public Works Association and sponsored by Ford Pro, achieving its highest placement to date.

“This Top 10 recognition reflects the outstanding work and dedication of our Fleet team,” said City Manager Bryan Langley. “Their innovative mindset and commitment to efficiency play a vital role in helping us deliver reliable, high quality services to our residents.”

Goodyear’s Fleet Division manages and maintains more than 600 city vehicles, ranging from fire engines and police cruisers to dump trucks and street sweepers. The team plays a vital role in supporting city departments by ensuring every vehicle is safe, reliable and cost effective.

Earning a place among the Top 10 Government Fleets in the nation positions Goodyear among the country’s leading public fleet operations and underscores the city’s dedication to exceptional service, operational efficiency and long term planning. It’s yet another example of how Goodyear employees work behind the scenes every day to keep the city moving.
