Overview

As a part of the Capital Improvement Program, the city of Goodyear is improving Camelback Road from State Route (SR) 303L to the eastern City Limits, west of Village Parkway. The work primarily consists of widening Camelback Road and constructing raised medians. Specifically, the work is anticipated to include:

• Widening Camelback Road to four travel lanes; two eastbound and two westbound lanes.

• Installing new designated turn lanes and a bicycle lane (eastbound direction only).

• Adding new pavement markings and signage.

• Improvements to; drainage, sidewalks, traffic signals. streetlights, and landscaping.

What to Expect

• Road work along Camelback Road will be on-going during daylight hours.

• One travel lane on Camelback Road in each direction will remain open.

• Additional lane closures and restrictions at intersections may be required, depending upon scheduled activities.

• Drivers should be prepared to slow down when approaching and passing through the work zone.

• Use caution around construction personnel and equipment.
