Offered in the summer season, the Goodyear Youth Basketball League is a 7-week, non-competitive, recreational league with games and practices played on weeknights (Monday – Thursday evenings) Teams are coached by volunteer coaches with an emphasis on teamwork, sportsmanship, skill development, and having fun.

Age Divisions: 5–6 Coed, 7–8 Coed, 9–10 Boys, 9–10 Girls, 11–12 Boys, 11-12 Girls

Registration: Opens online Tuesday, April 7at 8 a.m. Registration close April 13 at 6 p.m. Non-residents may register beginning April 14 at 8 a.m.

• COED 5-13, 5-6 coed, 7-8 coed, 9-10 boys and girls, 11-13 boys and girls

League dates: Practices begin the week of June 1.  Games for 5-6 and 7-8 divisions are played on Thursdays starting June 11. Games for ages 9+ are on Wednesdays starting June 10. No games or practices on June 19 or July 4 

Location: Various school gyms within the City of Goodyear

Fall 2026 Soccer

Offered in the spring and fall seasons, the Goodyear Youth Soccer League is coed and recreational (non-competitive). This league is designed for new players, as well as returning players who want to improve their skills. Teams are coached by volunteer coaches with an emphasis on teamwork, sportsmanship, skill development, and having fun.

Registration: Opens online July 7 at 8:00 a.m. for Goodyear Residents. Registration open until full. (Non-residents may register beginning July 14 at 8 a.m.)

League Dates: Practices begin week of September 14. Games played on Saturdays starting September 26. The 3-4 age division will play six games per season; age divisions 5+ play seven games per season.

Location: Goodyear Recreation Campus Soccer Fields (420 S Estrella Pkwy.)

Cost: $70 ($85 NR) for 3-4 age division, $90 ($110 NR) for ages 5+

Age Divisions: 3-4 COED, 5-6 COED, 7-8 COED, 9-10 BOYS, 9-10 GIRLS, 11-13 BOYS, 11-13 GIRLS

Playing up is only allowed when player is within 1 year of age division. Playing up is not allowed in 3-4 & 11-13 divisions. Participant's age is determined by first game date, September 26, 2026.

This league is designed for new players, as well as returning players who want to improve their skills. Teams are coached by volunteer coaches with an emphasis on teamwork, sportsmanship, skill development, and having fun.

Registration: Opens online July 7 at 8:00 a.m. for Goodyear Residents. Registration open until full. (Non-residents may register beginning July 14 at 8 a.m.)

Cost: $90 ($110 NR)

Fall Flag Football -  2025-2026 Season

Offered in the winter season, the Goodyear Youth Flag Football League is designed to educate youth about football while emphasizing development in teamwork, participation and sportsmanship. Players learn skills and lessons that help them succeed both on and off the field. The program provides young players a fun and exciting opportunity to engage in non-contact, continuous action while developing the skills necessary to become successful players. 

Registration: Opens online Tuesday, October 6 at 8:00 a.m. Registration open until full. Non-residents may register beginning October 13 at 8:00 a.m.

League Dates: Practices begin the week of December 14. Games are played on Saturdays starting January 2, 2026. 

Location: Games & Practices will be held at the Goodyear Recreation Campus multipurpose fields (420 S. Estrella Pkwy.)

Cost:  $90 ($110 NR) for all age groups

Age Divisions: 5-6 COED, 7-8 COED, 9-10 COED, 11-12 COED

Playing up is only allowed when player is within 1 year of age division. Playing up is not allowed in 5-6 division. Participant's age is determined by first game date: January 2, 2027.
