GOAL: Strengthen water efficiency efforts.

The Southwestern US, including Arizona, has been in a drought for more than 2 decades. This has greatly impacted the Colorado River system including Lake Mead and Lake Powell.

The City of Goodyear recognizes the severity of the situation and has been planning for years for drought conditions that can impact the City's water portfolio. The City has a well-rounded sustainable water management plan. It sets the city up to meet the water needs for near-term growth, even if the city experiences a supply shortage from one of our water sources.
